2017 GAA National Football League (AKA Kerry's stroll to yet more silverware)

Bold statement and it smacks of emotion clouding objectivity. Tyrone as a county haven’t won a serious knock out championship game against a Big Gun since 2008. That’s nearly a decade ago.

Dessie is a bit simple.

From when we saw him you utter spastic.

Christ i live how i have rattled some cunts. They make absolute clowns of themselves jumping in out of context.

Mac is a genius at it

:joy::joy::joy::joy:

Who’s we? For those of us who saw him play at club level he was very raw, even in is his own age group, so was not ready from the word go. Fella.

well done, you saw a player from your own county before the rest of us did.

And fucking wow, a tall lad develops late. Groundbreaking.

Thw rest of us saw him first 2 years ago, and he was very good from the word go.

What part of it do you not understand?

You dipshit

Could some lurker journalist do an assessment of the numbers of goals palmed to the net in football over the past number of years?

Thanking you in advance.

Kev you’ve been way off when it comes to this dublin team over the years. .you’ve questioned macmahon, connolly, said dublin’s weak spot was their midfield ( that was the year macauley got FOTY)…

I’m always amused by these sorts of “statistics” about past performance being an indicator of what will happen in the future and the mental gymnastics involved in determining what is a “serious game” or a “big gun”.

Dublin didn’t win a serious knock out championship game against a “big gun” from the 1995 All-Ireland final until the 2010 All-Ireland quarter-final.

They then won four of the next six All-Irelands after 2010.

Anybody who has watched Tyrone play Dublin in five games since 2013, usually with inferior teams to what they have now, would be of the opinion that their style is better suited to taking on Dublin than any other potential challenger.

Better

Not at all. My opinion was heavily based on the Caffery years and aml that nonsense. I am on record as saying if they pulled that shit they would win AI’s.
I couldn’t see Kerry beating them in 09, but they did.

And i have umbelievable admiratiin for this bunch. This is the vision i had for Cork 10 years ago, and my own club in fact. A game based on movement, games based coaching but a healthy dise of science, s&c and coaching education. Thats what the dubs are.

I got O’Gara wrong and i got MDM wrong for sure.
McMahon i just thought was too much of a scut, always been an excellent footballer though.

For me Fenton was a standout from word go. I was astonished by his mobility and skill levels for both his height and experience. He was doing silly things but no more than anyone does. His vision, 2 sidedness etc qas all of a high level really early. He lacked power, but thats understandable.

I just thought it was funny commenting on how good he has become as if a surprise.

And then the comments about not making underage are laughable and not very well thought thru. How would the rest of us have seen him before he played gor the dubs?

Maybe its your lack of ability to express yourself properly. From the word go would mean to me when Fenton started playing football. The fact you hadn’t seen him prior to playing for Dublin seniors meant he wasn’t ready or fully developed yet to compete, even at his own age group.

Kev also wrote Tyrone off while bigging up Cork 2 years ago.
