Fuck off to the celebrity thread

Peter Keogh passed away, a journalist and President of Wicklow GAA. Naturally he wouldn’t seen as a celebrity or even significant by some, but he was a very decent man and a pleasure to bump into at matches on occasion.

Ther was a bit done on him by RTE a while back. RIP.

An absolute gentleman and model professional.

RIP

Ray Tomlinson. The man credited with inventing the e-mail and use of the @ symbol in internet terms has passed away at the age of 74.

Supreme Court Judge Adrian Hardiman.

Mr. Justice Hardiman was a Bencher of the King’s Inns, a Master of the Bench of the Middle Temple, London, and a Member of the Royal Irish Academy.

Sounds like he was a beast in the gym.

Looks like he was a batty boy as well.

Wasn’t he involved in this too?

Possibly, was full of upper echelon unionists.

Seru Rabeni, the Fijian rugby player has died at age 37 :open_mouth:

Not that it’ll matter here but he was different class, a complete opposite to the brick shithouse backs you see nowadays. @Tim_Riggins any idea what the story was here?

The biggest baller of a Mayor the world has ever seen, has passed away. Fare thee well Rob, you lived an interesting life and fucked the begrudgers (and the hookers).

Monaghan’s Hugh Hefner, Sir Jack Leslie :disappointed_relieved:

In his hundredth year. RIP

He had a pretty remarkable life, some man alright, POW for 5 years. He was very well liked in Monaghan as I remember and a bit of a protected species with the Ra.

It’s (not really) remarkable that our clubbing careers had a significant overlap. For near a decade, through the turn of the millennium, it was rare that you’d be on a night out in Clones, Monaghan or Carrick and you wouldn’t see either myself or Sir Jack*.

*A basic grasp of numbers would suggest it wasn’t that rare, but we were both known to frequent multiple venues on a night out.

The Romanian football enthusiasts of YaoundĂŠ would suggest otherwise pal.

And while not a significant individual, if you removed the blinkers, you would realise that Pat is the latest statistic in the increasingly significant issue surrounding cardiac arrest of professional sportspeople. In the last 10 years, the number of recorded heart failures on the soccer pitch is three times the number of the preceeding 57 years.

But as long as Pat wasn’t pictured in the “Out & About” section of the Leitrim Observer, he clearly doesn’t warrant mention.

Look Kiddo, I don’t give a flying fuck whether you’re sympathetic to these Romanian people(s) or not.
The deceast is a no-mark.
