2011 Summer Transfer Window

Jeffren to Udinese will be part of the Sanchez deal.

Read somewhere that Berbatov is linked with a move to Newcastle

How do we know this, he has never played that far forward to my knowledge?

He has played as part of the front three frequently in recent seasons. I could be wrong but I think he started as one of the front three in the 2009 final.

Maybe your right, and farmer, just don’t remember it. Maybe i’m just remembering all the greatness of the past 2 years with Xavi. Although i do remember him not quite being a regular.

Iniesta has often played on the left of the front three for Barca.

Kev, you can’t whine on the hurling thread about lads not being knowledgeable enough to talk on the subject (which incidentally has made me very tentative about posting on there) and then come on here and say stuff like that. Come off it will you.

I’m not talking about being knowledgable clarkey really, its bluffing about it and trying to let on they know plenty. I admit to watching very little soccer for a number of years up to about start of last season, and maybe a bit the season before.

I openly said it looking for someone with more knowledge to answer (even farmer himself :stuck_out_tongue: ), i genuinely didn’t know, wasn’t trying to bluff or anything. It just surprised me as he doesn’t strike one as anything other than a midfielder.

Kev has one rule for kev and one rule for mere mortals.

Apology accepted.

Just to clear up, that was not an apology. I stand by all posts.

You’re sorry. I get it.

post away clarkey, its a discussion forum afterall.

+1

Mind you i’m disappointed in clarkeys pussiness about being tentative about posting.

Who’s going to win the all-ireland clarkey?

Cheers fenners. Dublin are still a couple of years away from matching it with the big boys in Championship hurling imo but I do think once they get that experience they’ll be capable of challenging. Thought that lack of experience was exhibited against a piss poor Galway side when they panicked despite a comfortable lead and Joe Gantley the only player showing any courage for us. Kilkenny will avenge the League defeat. I reckon they’ll be comfortable winners.

There’s also Mascherano and Keita in contention for those midfield spots so there is a bit of cover there but Guardiola evidently think it’s good enough. Fabregas to Barca makes sense for protecting the future and giving him time to re-integrate into the system. While Xavi is simply a wonderful player and Iniesta too obviously, they’ve been very fortunate/diligent in producing a guy like Busquets to slot in there as the third player. I don’t think anyone else including Fabregas is playing the sort of midfield that Guardiola is after so he may well be acquiring Fabregas with a view to giving him time alongside Xavi and Iniesta to make the eventual transition as seamless as possible.

Villa and Torres are both excellent strikers but in terms of best ever, not close for me. Torres is let down by his inconsistency and his average international record. Villa is a class above alright but he’s no Muller or Ronaldo.

Torres has only scored 20 goals in a club season once and has a rubbish international record. It’s bizarre to include him in the same company as the likes of Ronaldo, Villa, Muller and Keane.

I didn’t include him in the company of Muller, Ronaldo and Keane. I only compared him to Villa.

Muller has an incredible scoring record alright but can we really conclude on how great he was, given that he was before our time? The same goes for all those older players really.

Sorry if this seems a bit gay or that but that’s one incredibly long schlonger you have there, Farmer.
