The latter trio definitely look on the way out, possibility that Evans may go too, O Shea unlikely to leave. Would still prefer Modric as a central midfielder but not looking too likely at the moment. Amazed that City have not been splashing the cash again.
Graham Hunter saying last night on OTB that Cesc Fabregas told his agent if the Barca deal doesn’t go through this summer to sound out City and see whats on offer.
Somebody has lost all faith in Whinger it seems?
Well you wouldn’t be biased now wouldnt you?
Brinksmanship and nothing more. This deal was done 12 months ago. Just another form of the Ronaldo deal.
I thought Fabregas would only leave Woolwich for Barcelona?
The chances of Graham Hunter knowing this fact is extremely remote.
Whats Woolwich?
Villa in for Nzogbia. Region of 9M
City are in the race (?) for Gael Clichy and are said to have beaten Liverpool to his signature. Nothing concrete yet though.
Woolwich is where Arsenal come from in London.
Why didnt you just call them Arsenal?
Graham Hunter is an absolute spoofer of the highest order. He might as well have said Cesc has asked his agent to sound out all interested clubs in the top three divisions in England if the Barca deal falls through. It’s happening regardless so it’s all academic.
Twitter is proving to be about as reliable as playground gossip for transfer news.
I don’t recognise them as such, to me they are FC Woolwich, Taliban or the Nomads.
Must be an awful pain in the hole to find their results.
Not when you start looking from March to May when it becomes a pleasure…
This looks like being a terrible transfer window for Arsenal, at the moment the most likely transfer scenario is:
OUT: Fabregas, Nasri
IN: Cahill, Gervinho, Jenkinson, Oxlaide Chamber-something
They are having big trouble with season ticket renewals at the moment too. There’s a waiting list of around 40,000 but you’d have to question how many of those people would actually buy one if they were offered. I know I’m around the 20,000 mark and if I was offered one right now I wouldn’t be taking one. I only went on the list in the hope that I’d be financially secure by the time I finally got my offer. Like with the club membership program there’s probably a load of lads from Africa on the waiting list also that are just on it for the sake of it.
I’d give Arsene Wenger the benefit of doubt until the transfer window is closed but you’d have to question his transfer business over the last 2 - 3 years, Fabregas and Nasri appear to have lost faith in his policies anyway. Such a shame as I think if he’d purchased a goalkeeper after Lehmann left and a new centre back at the start of last season things could have been very different (like a top 3 position).
Vermalen is back.
That’s like a new signing.
Clichy should have been on my out list too. Not too worried about him leaving though.
It’s turning into an exodus now though, last one to leave Colney please turn out the lights.
Some journo on twitter has City speaking to Nasri’s agent. Not sure City need him, probably bullshit.
He was a Times journalist so presume it’s not total bull. If he’s going to go I don’t care where he goes as long as it’s not United or Spurs.
He’s been way too inconsistent anyway and if they can re-coup what they paid for him they should take it.
Kieron Westwood and Seb Larsson have completed their moves to Sunderland.
Interesting that Larsson follows Gardner to SoL. Weren’t they the 2 players who fought over the penalty at Stamford bridge last season?
losing nasri is bad for arsenal. i think he is a cracking player. Better centrally than out wide.
clichy isnt that great. think arsenal should consider vermaelen at left back next season. as forumites will note, I scouted him for TFK a few years back when he played well in that position for Ajax against Villa in a magical European encounter at Villa Park.
