Seems quite taken with me all the same. Enjoying reading him today, laahing out in all directions in true slow witted fashion
Yes i do, but i also know Rocko hasn’t got around to the braille version yet. Anyway you are avoiding the question. I have no problem with anyone being gay, and reiterated it for you, so answer it or we’ll have to persume you are and you are struggling with coming out.
If Joey behsved himself and kept his mouth shut Arsenal could do a lot worse, would add plenty of bite to their midfield and no little ability either
Barton would be a good fit for Arsenal alright. He’d suit their transfer policy and he’s as good as plenty of the midfielders they have and would add something different.
Anzhi Makhachkala are continuing their aggressive transfer policy - Zhirkov looks like he’s on his way there from Chelsea.
The Mirror claiming Utd have Schneider (sp) all wrapped up, barring the wages which bizarrely is being rumoured that Nike are getting involved in.
Juventus look to continue their aggressive rebuilding this summer and are being linked with Nani & Alex today
Keith Andrews has turned down a loan move to Leeds United and is set to join Ipswich instead
Shane Long being linked with Leicester today
Kevin Kilbane has joined Derby.
Emre released by Fenerbahce - anyone know if he’s good anymore?
Jovanovic has left Liverpool for Anderlecht.
He could be off to the jail yet. He’s implicated in the match fixing scandal.
Poor Joey Barton has been fined 2 weeks wages and made train on his own by Newcastle for speaking openly about his situation on Twitter.
He’s been posting Smiths / Morrissey lyrics on his page for ages and Morrissey even invited him backstage at Glastonbury a month or two back to meet him.
Anyway, funny stuff today with Joey posting more lyrics after the latest turmoil on Twitter:
“I am human and I need to be loved, just like anybody else does.”
Some wag replied:
“How was training? Did you stand on your own, and leave on your own, and go home and cry, and want to die?”
Proof yet again that Twitter is incredible.
Did he retweet that himself Bandage? He actually seems alright sortish does Joseph
Don’t think he did but it came up on my timeline because Ken Earl(e)y did.
West Ham’s bid of £5m +£3m in add-ons for Shane Long is rejected. Leicester making a formal bid apparently.
Really can’t understand why he’d move to another championship club unless it’s all about money. Then again maybe no premier league team is interested. He’d surely be worth a punt for some of them. If he was a horse he’d be called a ‘progressive sort’.
How long has he left on his contract? He’d be better off staying at Reading than just moving for the sake of it.
The jury is still out as to whether he is a progressive sort, last year was the first 6 years at Reading where he consistently found the net. There is no doubting his attitude and he has a bit of ability but it is not a case that he has had 2 or 3 seasons where he has gotten better with each one. He would be as well off spending a year with West Ham or Leicester as their main striker and scoring consistently again at this level and getting them promoted. I don’t think he will be anywhere near as prolific in the EPL especially for the likes of a Blackburn, Wolves or Newcastle.
I think Long’s transfer fee has been driven too high and that’s why I’d be inclined to stay if I was he. (That “he” at the end is gramatically correct though I accept it sounds incorrect). I reckon he’d be worth a punt for plenty of EPL teams but £8m is a serious punt and it has priced plenty out of the market including the likes of Celtic or (God forbid) clubs in mainland Europe.
Jeffren has joined Sporting. Hadn’t realised he’s 23 - he needs some games.
Del Horno has gone to Levante.
Oriol Romeu’s move from Barcelona to Chelsea is one of those Barca structured deals. He is off for £4.3m but Barca have buyback options after 1 year (€10m) and 2 years (€15m). They’re good deals they’re negotiating - obviously they don’t want to get burned like they did on Fabregas and like they might have done on Piqué - but it will be interesting what will happen if they want him back and he doesn’t want to return. He’ll stay obviously but Barca won’t feel as clever then.
