Smashing 13-darter by Jan ‘Double’ Dekker under the most intense pressure at The Home of Darts.
2 sets all and 1 leg apiece too. What a match.

And a 14-darter from Kist in reply. Super stuff.
Brilliant win for Kist. Tie of the tournament so far.
Christian Kist puts out last year’s semi-finalist Jan Dekker. What a magnificent match.
The Count is next
And the great Edward ‘Ted’ Hankey is up next.
Here’s his greatest ever moment - his incredible 170 out to seal the title back in 2000:

Sorry I missed that - it sounds like an absolute cracker. Kist will be one to watch for the rest of the tournament if he can beat a player of the calibre of Jan Dekker.
At least I’ll see the Count in action. That has been Ted’s nickname since the age of 15 when he played Dracula in a school play. Players’ nicknames in the BDO aren’t thought up by some yuppie advertising spiv like they are in the pdc. They’re authentic. And that’s the difference. To borrow an old Eamon Dunphy phrase, hype is the pdc, reality is the BDO.
PHA - Positive Hankey Attitude
This is Ted’s territory.
Stubbsy says “the Lakeside is jumping”. I was going to say it’s rocking but jumping does the job just as well.
Unbelievable
I’m afraid to say that Ted’s mind games, along with the Lakeside stage, have left Clive Barden somewhat of a shivering wreck.
Unreal.
Nothing like it.
Ted Hankey what a legend of the game!
Clive is belatedly coming into this. It was naturally going to take a debutant time to acclimatise to the Lakeside stage, as Tony Green so rightly said.
Ted takes the second set 3-2. Meant to say, it’s a real treat to have Ray Stubbs back presenting at The Home of Darts.
They’re all here.
Stubbsy.
Tony.
Crofty.
Bobby.
And Ted.
They’re all here.
This is what it’s all about.
What a dinner party guest list those 5 would make.
145 checkout from Ted. Rolls Royce stuff.
What a 145 out for Ted to square up the third set at 2-2. Lovely darts.
