How is this beauty a virgin? :shakefist: :shakefist:
Rocko I get the feeling you may be discussing this post in court some day.
I thought Sally Pearson’s reaction to her gold was pretty good there. Waited an age to get the confirmation she’d won.
That 1,500m was ridiculous.
AC Slater in the Greco-Roman Wrestling Heavyweight Final on BBC red button now.
Disgusting decision in the boxing there, the French guy was robbed. Thought he was going to do a sit down protest at one stage.
Explain?
Victoria Pendleton is really not taking her defeat today very well here on BBC.
can’ listen to Kiernan who pissed me off with the abuse he gave James Nolan in 2004 and his eulogising of the humble kenyans who got their arse handed to them tonight by 2 arabs and a mexican but i really dont see what the problem is here with Makhloufi , ,
ok, fair enough, he’s an arab and he made a fool out of the system by dropping out of the 800m to save himself for tonite and that pisses a few people like kiernan off as him doing that cost some poor european his chance of being humiliated on national TV…
anyway, he won his heat pretty well and has knocked 2 seconds off his PB this year, that of course is too much for Gerry…im willing to give him benifit of the doubt however
it was classic arab mischief to be honest, they always have some tricks in the distance events and Taoufik Makhloufi dropping out of an 800m heat the night before a 1500 final is just another chapter…
Sid, you will surely remember Khalid Shka of Morrocco and his mate Boutayeb who took the piss out of Richard Chelimo from Kenya in the 1992 10000m final, Boutayeb , even tho lapped ran alongside the 2 , eventually tripping up Chelimo allowing Shka to laugh at him Eamon Coughlan like before burning him off in the last lap
as my father in law of moroccan origion told me tonight, arabs are faster as they are used to running after stealing and are rarely caught, the kenyans meanwhile get fit by having to chase after their dinner around the local safari and this has made them softer… not sure where the logic lies there, the difference between hunter and hunted maybe, but it certainly worked for the 2 north africans tonight.
Eurosport is the only way to go to watch the track and field, uniterrupted coverage with no non sports like boxing, boating or indoor cycling interrupting the viewing , with superb commentary
What she say mbb?
Team GB’s Freddie Evans beats Canada’s Custio Clayton on a countback in the welterweight quarter-final after the bout finished 14-14. Quelle surprise.
Your father in law mustafa lot of good stories to tell…
ah she’s a cracker isnt’s she, im good friends with LoLo on FB long with thousands of others, her status updates are always informative and humourous, particually last week when she was none to happy with the italians celebrating loudly their victory over the USA in the archery at Lords, Lolo told us “screw firing arrows, we’re Americans , we shoot guns” cue a response from some offended folk talking about some shooting incident at a film in Denver a few nights before and saying Lolo should be kicked out of the olympics…we need more like Lolo
Another awful decision in the welterweight quarter-finals earlier as world number one Taras Shelestyuk was give the decision in a fight he clearly lost to France’s Alexis Vastine.
no idea how to insert a you tube clip so ill just copy the link…
this is a german weightlifter in the mens +105kg tonight, i dunno how his neck did not break
eurosport now for those interested
They put up a screen.
Had he to be put down or something…
Sir Chris Hoy’s interview with Jake Humphreys is interrupted by the chanting of the fanatical crowd below. “Oggy oggy oggy, Hoy, Hoy, Hoy”.
[quote=“Bandage, post: 225349”]It’s CONLAN.

Sorry Bondage.
Ironic that the Brits could see fit to find the heretofore clean Algerian’s performance"surprising". And not a a word for example about how surprising Laura Trott’s performance was.
That Noble lad was on Newstalk tonight and reckoned triathlon was the third most popular participant sport in Ireland after rugby and Gaelic.
If there is one thing I’ve learned from these Olympics it is that it pays to sit on your hole.
Take GB, how many of their Gold’s have come from Sport’s where sitting is involved? Cycling, Rowing, Sailing, Horse Riding… Even the Long Jump you end up on your arse.
