Did I touch a nerve TTK. My posts were a bit of banter at the time. No need to take it personally.
It was a penalty to Wales at the end though. England held onto the ball forever and Wales got done for being off their feet, crazy decision.
Perhaps but there were numerous instances throughout the game that you could argue were/werenât penalties. I was far from convinced that Wales should have got the penalty at 12-9 down, from the lineout on the halfway that set up the next penalty for 12-12.
England were good value for a win and Wales were blessed to come out of there with a win.
I might back no slam winner as I can see France losing to Ireland/England and Wales losing to France.
England are the new Scotland
Ireland are the new England
Wales are the new Ireland
Scotland are the new Wales
France are the new haw hee haw hee haw
Are you on drugs?
Why, are you buying?
Get outta here ya schmuck
I see Strettle was giving interviews last night saying it was a try and the physio saw it being grounded and the touch-judge should have intervened. Gas stuff. It clearly wasnât grounded over the line, the touch judge said he thought it was held up so he did give his opinion. England should be more concerned with why Mike Brown stood beside him celebrating when he could have just played on and moved the ball forward a few inches and scored himself.
I am pretty sure it was Lawrence the referee who said he thought it was held up to the touchjudge (Nigel Owens IIRC) as opposed to the other way around
Walsh was the referee buddy.
Apologies but it was definately the Ref who said he thought it was held up as opposed to the touchjudge
And Owens wasnât the touchjudge.
Rocko, 3:37 you can clear hear Walsh say he thinks it was held up as opposed to the Linesman
Hereâs hoping
It was earlier than that when he asked the touchjudge and that bit has been edited out of the clip you have. Before he went upstairs he asked the touch judge and he said he wasnât sure but thought he was held up.
I canât take your opinion seriously anyway when you incorrectly identified both parties to the conversation.
I dont think there was anything clear about it, What question did Walsh pose to the Video Ref? Had he said is it a try, then I dont think it could have been given on the views we got anyway. If he asked is there any reason he couldnt give it, then its a different matter entirely.
Doubt Flood would have kicked it anyway.
Didnât see the game, were Ireland that good or Italy that poor?
Tottiâs boys put in a decent shift for 40 minutes but just couldnt keep it up. Parisse on his own as per usual and they were depleted in the front row and were going backwards for the entire second half. Ireland turned the screw when the chance came, but you couldnt get too excited about it imo.
Was Earls in the centre? How did he go?
Started there, subbed for McFadden in second half with Tommy going into the centre alongside Sexton. Earls did ok, nothing spectacular but got over for first try and didnt look too out of place. Seems to be a big buzz around Tommy starting at 13 against France for his size. Weâll see.
Scotland lead by 7-0 after 20 mins and currently in the process of making France a bit angry.
