Fook that. Disappointing result considering first half but suppose we were lucky to get a draw in the end. Discipline improved near the end but failing to score at all in first half cost us as well. Bowe, Kearney and Ferris were superb. France were average.
So they could run at him earlier? They went hard at him when he came on and our defence went too soft.

Dont think they scored while he was on Rocko. We needed him when on the front foot though, Sexton and Murray had poor second half going forward, no questions about Sextons defence which was vital in line with all those around him, but we had chances and Sexton just didnt take advantage.

We went from being camped in their half with the ball to stuck in our 22 without the ball when hr came on. Itâs not all attributable to either out half but other than two poor kicks I thought Sexton was very good with the ball and caused them problems. I donât think we should have been taking on a drop goal when we were recycling so well in their territory and tiring them out.

Youâre putting all that down to ROG coming on at 10? Nothing to do with 10 mins of incessant pressure and France inevitably clearing their lines with Irish players tiring? Agreed with the drop goal belief, we should really have been trying to come out with points and its a bad reflection on the decision making in the forwards and the backs, O Connell should have been organising a DG, Sexton should have been demanding one. Hard to be too critical though, it was a huge effort put in my one and all.
We had hardly touched the ball in the second half. When we were stringing phases together it would have been foolish to take a chance on a drop goal. It was the only time in the second half we made France make any tackles. And it wasnât pick and go stuff, we were stretching them a bit and had a couple of half-breaks. I think going for a drop goal there would have been defeatist. Slower ball and a better set French defence and it might have been a different story.
Johnny Sexton fucked us big time today with poor place kicking and awful decision making in open play.
