2013 Confederations Cup

Neymar’s been knocking around for a few years but this tournament is the first time I’ve really been impressed by him. Brilliant play for the second goal as well as the excellent earlier volley.

both Brazilian full backs are very poor players especially at defending which is their main function.
Marco Antonio Barrera’s younger brother made utter shit of Marcelo a few times down the Brazilian left side, at one stage Marcelo was so out of sync he went in to tackle Barrera with his fucking right leg going completely accoss his body and missing the ball completly as Barrera was moving out to the left, you wouldnt see that in the AUL at home.
David Luiz is a fine footballer i must add

Italian national anthem alert.

Smashing tune in fairness. I’m worried about my ever growing man crushes on Pirlo and Buffon, they’re just really great lads.

Japan have started very well. Honda won a couple of 50/50’s and Kagawa set up a very good opportunity there too.

Someone should tell Kerr and Alkin that De Sciglio is not a naturally left footed.

Isn’t there a decent sized Japanese community in Brazil, think I may have read that somewhere before.

Yep. Highest population of Japanese outside of Japan I believe.

Yes, surprisingly there is. Noticed a good few when I was over there

A post WWII movement according to my twitter feed. Came looking for work and many ended up as farm labourers.

Gigi:(

Was that a foul?

I can’t believe that decision.

Harsh

I’m going to resist going down a car joke route after my earlier Honda 50/50 effort.

Yet another disappointing outing for Acquilani, have never seen it in him albeit in my limited viewings.

Wow

Smashing technique by Kagawa. 2-0 Japan.

I don’t like the tactical shape in this team. The likes of Giovinco and Giaccherini in our attack is very very worrying.

They wouldn’t be in the top 15 attackers available to Prandelli.

Interplay between Kagawa and Honda has been class.
