i know its very early but Dublin are looking like having a serious panel this year…best thing Gavin could do is put out a dud team against kildare and take a beating to dampen the hype…

no seriously…think the Dubs will be have a ridiculou panel…the U-21 lads seem to be so conditioned that they can make the step to senior quite easily…and o mahoney is well worth game time in midfield to see what he´s got…most natural midfielder dublin have i reckon…plays with macauley at club level so would know his game…macarthy cud be an option there too…will be interesting to see who dublin put at no.6 in league…competition in forwrads will be very very strong…still think we need a sticky corner back…nelson could be the man if he stays injury free…
Cork have a pretty shite team out for Saturday (decent bench though), so WIT are worth a look at 4/1.
do you think cork will take league serious this year?..they’re probably sick of getting to finals at thsi stage…might just blood a load of players this season and see if any will be of use for championship…
Well, no choice but to blood a whole load of new players now, considering the players that have left or didn’t join. I think JBM will go or it again, but the quality of the squad is weaker then last years. Honestly if Mullane was still playing we wouldn’t be far off relegation.
Clare are missing 20+ lads this weekend v UL, for some reason Powers have cut them from 4/7 into 1/4. I think will probably have enough but UL are no mugs and are well worth a punt at 11/4 to win

Cracking little match at Parnell Park tonight. A much more experienced Kildare team eventually wore Dublin down in extra-time but some good performances by some of the younger Dublin players like Paul Mannion and Cormac Costello when he came on as a sub. Kildare should really have been expecting to win by more given that Dublin had so many established players not involved. Seanie Jonston had a stinker after coming on as a sub in the second half of normal time. :lol:
dubs beaten in extra time by kildare…poor enough stuff…both teams were experimenting and making lots of subs…dublin had a whole host of new faces…kildare seemed to have the same old faces…johnny doyle kicked 2 great scores…seanie johnston came on and missed about 4 kickable points…tomas brady had a bad night at full back for dubs which got worse when big O connor came on and literally won every ball that came in and kicked at least 1-02… don’t think brady is a full back at this level…might have a better chance at centre back…
kildare have some very good defenders, especially ollie lyons who had brogan in his pocket all night…but their forward play is still very poor…they only ever really look threatening when O Connor is in full forwrad and they lump balls in…apart from that the forward movement is poor…one exception was Niall kelly…he looks to be a very handy footballer in the making… never heard of him before…is he new to kidare panel or was he there last year?..
i was very impressed with was Paul mannion from crokes…looks a class act…lovely balance and great left foot…jack macaffrey at wing back looks a prospect too…very attack minded…Bastick back to his old ways picking up a staright red for punching a lad…
