Trimbles try?
Was it not Darcy who was down.

Great win for us. All hinges now on Paris next weekend.
That looks like a snapchat some of the West Brit rogbee players sent to Brian Kennedy after the match.
Scottish bottlers.
Tremendous send off for the great man and Ireland sitting handily at the top of the top of the table going to Paris next Saturday with every chance of being crowned European champions.
I donāt know when the last time was we went to Paris on the last day of the season needing a win to be crowned European champions. We did go there in 1982 chasing a Grand Slam, but Englandās win over Wales on the penultimate weekend had ensured we won the Championship without even playing.
Iām cautiously optimistic about chances next weekend. Just the 2 wins and 1 draw in our last 30 visits to Paris stretching back to 1952 is a concern though.

32 visits if you include the two defeats there in the 2007 World Cup.

Northern Hemisphere champions surely.
The United States, Canada, and Japan would have a thing or two to say about that.
Romania werenāt to be trifled with at the time either.
āIt seems a bit of a joke that you get Man of the Match for 60 minutes.ā
Brian OāDriscoll once again deserves credit for speaking sense and cutting through the hysterical sycophancy of many of his followers, as he did when he was dropped from the British Loins team by Warren Gatland for the deciding test in Australia last summer.
I doubt the countries would notice. Some ex pats might.

What did Sexton score? Rugby pundits mugging themselves off non shocker.
0-17 (0-7 f)
BOD clearly best player on pitch
I was just referring to the Championship. Serious rugby starts and ends with the Championship and the British Lions. I donāt pay much heed to this World Cup business or November friendlies.
Mind you if weāre bringing World Cup results into it, it would be remiss not to mention the win over France in Auch in May 1988. Tony Ward rates it as his greatest ever day in an Ireland shirt. Wardy is particularly fulsome in his praise for Frannoās performance that day.
Slipping up Manuel. There was no world cup in 1988
Auch is not in Paris, Manuel.
I never said there was. If non-championship performances on French soil are being brought into the discussion, I said it would be remiss not to mention the game in Auch in May 1988. Incidentally there were no caps awarded for that game in Auch.
Thereās merit in those comments. In the countries that are serious about winning in rugby, everything revolves the World Cup and the World Cup cycle. A player might get a year at most after a World Cup but generally after a World Cup, if a player is of an age profile where heās not going to make the next one, heās gone. OāDriscoll missed the 2012 Six Nations through injury, thought would have seemed like the natural end. Looking at the bigger picture, some short term pain should have been absorbed by retiring OāDriscoll with a view towards building for the next World Cup. Thereāll be less than a year now to blood a new No 13 for the 2015 World Cup. Dāarcy is 34 too. Will he make the World Cup?
