I think the fact that outside of Lk the fact Tipp are now someway competitive in Munster bar Cork & Kerry is the basis for that thought.

Probably, there’s talent there but they are a long way off. People should wait about talking about them in the same context as serious teams until they do something of substance at Championship level. There is a huge gap between them and the likes of Tyrone right now.
All true but they have come on massively in 10 years due to hard work at underage.
You of all people should acknowledge that seeing how Tyrone originally built that AI winning team around youngsters in the late 90’s.

Yes but Tyrone had plenty of other players like Lawn, Canavan, Cavlan, Dooher and a probably a few others who were playing in All Ireland finals and semi-finals in addition to these young players. They had been competing at the top table before this exceptional bunch of younger players came along and with all due respect that Tyrone bunch of youngsters and was on another level to what Tipp have produced.
It’s not comparing like with like. They might have come on massively in ten years but the hardest thing is making the next step up and they have a lot do before they can be topping teams like Tyrone.

You are missing the point spectacularly again. What Tipp are achieving in Football right now is akin to Kerry reaching a Munster Final in hurling.

Except Kerry would have to beat someone of note in hurling to achieve that. Tipperary haven’t really done that yet. They do have a fair way to go based on today’s showing. Their fitness and physicality was really poor, they were indecisive and fairly clueless for much of the first half. They were embarrassing in the second half.
The four Galway frees that the scores have come from have been of the very soft variety.
