You could be guaranteed a good few more would travel for the novelty factor of a football match and a weekend in Kilkenny. There isn’t much to keep you in Thurles
Colm O’Driscoll had the ball in lots of space there in grand shooting distance. He checked back for Cork to work another couple of passes and then an abysmal effort from Kevin O’Driscoll.
Place may be empty but its the easiest spot for fans to travel to.
Score?
I’m not sure that wasn’t a penalty. Did he let go of him before he crossed the line? I didn’t think so.
0-3 to 0-1 to Kildare.
It appears that not many were bothered travelling though
Cork are rubbish, is anyone surprised?
Black card for Loughrey. Brian O’Driscoll on for him.
Agree rating from me mate. That should please you no end
Ridiculous advantage awarded to Cadogan there.
But now he is fine.
Bizarre selection this week from that cranky cunt cutBert.
Putting shields back in full back line is a disaster.
Cork will be happy enough, 3-2 down having been outplayed against an expected early kildare onslaught
Lovely score Colm O’Neill.
That doesn’t look good for O’Connor.
I suppose Kev will be blaming the S&C guy for that.
+1. Looks serious.
They probably, genuinely, thought it wouldn’t be able to cope with the crowd, due to Kildare’s famous “massive travelling support”.
Like they did when Pearse Park in Longford, capacity 8,000, “wasn’t able to cope” with the expected crowd for the Longford-Kildare match and it was moved to Mullingar, where 5,914 spectators turned up.
My favourite decision of this type was in 2002 when Wicklow drew Kerry at home in the qualifiers. Aughrim, with it’s 7,000 capacity, was judged to be unable to cope with the expected massive attendance and the game was moved to Portlaoise, where it attracted circa 1,200 people.
Fuck it, that’s not good to see.
No not good, a lot of dissatisfaction with the training cork did between Minster draw and replay by all accounts. 4 injuries that cost game time and apparently the physio’s has been flat out for past 2 weeks
Disaster for the man himself.
Duffy raping Kildare. What was that free for?
