This is classic six (seven) day syndrome stuff from Cork.
Corks match ups all wrong. Cadogan should be in on Smyth, Cronin in full back line O’ Driscoll and Shields should be in half back line
However work rate and intensity is brutal
Took 6/4 on kildare before Kerrigan kicked his point. Cork are very flat and loughney and O Connor are big losses
11/10 is outrageous money considering the context of the game. I just put 50 on it
- The word “goalie” shouldn’t be used by anyone over the age of 12, other than in an ice hockey context perhaps.
- The contact with the goalkeeper was clearly not the cause of the injury - it meant that he got bumped so he didn’t break his fall properly but he didn’t damage his shoulder in a brush with the keeper.

Hurley hasn’t had a good championship but he hasn’t stopped showing for the ball and and he takes marking and gives Cork an inside threat as well as his roaming that he’s been doing more of. They have problems all over the pitch but not having him as an option is one of them.

The one thing cork had over kildare was class forwards but they take one out to replace him with a kildare type player. Evening things up.

Being outstanding against a Mayo team who leave their full back line badly exposed is nothing to shout about. Take out that game and he’s barely scored from play in his six other starts in Championship the past two years.
A Division 3 side took 2-09 off Mayo from play last week feeding on scraps of ball in the middle of the pitch.

No score for Hurley there and yet it’s his showing for the ball that has created that score for Cork. They didn’t have that in the first half.
