Donegal were the team playing the beautiful attacking football today, pal.
I had to drink some highly sugared beverage as i felt i was nodding off watching an all ireland, also for the first time ever. It was like ‘super’ sunday premier league game, pure scutter.
The ref gave them numerous frees as posters on here astutely noticed for very little contact, how could our defenders mark them? On the other end our players were tripped and dragged down with no penalty when they tried to play. Donegal played some great football but when they have to attack next week they’ll be found wanting.
Excellent performance from McFadden in a playmaking role. He’s back, baby.
Ryan McHugh is the new Tomas O’Se.
I’d fancy Mayo next week. Donegal played in bursts today but Galway had the chances. The red headed forward had two goal chances in each half which he took points out of when he should have went for goal and had he got the goals the game would have been completely different.
Ryan McHugh is the new Brian Dooher.
Galway will be a force to come with in the years to come. I wouldn’t be a big fan of Conroy but he had a very good first half and was the dominant player around the middle of the pitch. They have made great strides this year and I think what cost them was making the wrong choices at crucial points which they should learn a lot from after today.
They fought very hard but ended up double digit losers at the end of today.
I think I fancy Donegal now against Mayo but it’s a particularly hard game to judge.
That was a big win for them and Gallagher, McHugh and McGlynn are playing as well as anybody in Ireland. McFadden, Murphy and McBrearty have shown they can step it up when needed. However their full back line and some of their their less heralded players need to up their game. Neil McGee is becoming a particularly dislikeable player, whinging and moaning.
They have the leaders however and 9/1 for the All-Ireland represents value.
Conroy should be midfield with one of the lanky cunts. Both never perform the same day, if one starts well leave him, if not sub him for the other. Two doesn’t work. When the plan clearly involved no long balls in it was insane to leave the baysht in there doing nothing. Game was over by the time he moved out. A lot of unforced errors just fumbling the ball and o donnell got a bit excited when he saw the posts, they were there for the taking if we had just pushed three ahead they mightnt have been too bothered to fight back, ah well. Corks 1990 record still safe.i
I apologise for casting aspersions on your character.
Watching Donegal in the Flesh is interesting. They are truly playing basketball (without a shot clock) on a 140m court. In second half a lot of their scores came from plays where they started with no players in other half. Patience and work they can do is unreal. They move up and down as a team and just never stop. Galway were not far away but once ran out of steam they were “steam rolled” themsleves
I know there were quarter and semi final ticket packages to either code but is it possible to get a weekend ticket for both days in Croke Park next weekend. Should be two even games of football next Saturday
Dermot thinks Kildare need to get the ball over the bar to win the game. Hard to argue with that sort of clued in analysis.
Donaghy out, Cooper in. Not like Fitzmaurice to name a dummy team. Interesting.
Not afraid to buck tradition and that’s why they won the AI.
Kerry getting g all the calls from ref. The jumping on a guys back when he goes to ground still totally ok it seems.
Kerry picking off scores at will.
Kildare shooting too far out.
Did Carr just say they’d fear being over rum by Armagh intensity? What fucking decade is this clown in?
That decison against Moolick was the softest free in the whole championship. A fucking scandal.
Emmet Bolton getting away with murder as usual. Horribly snide cunt.
Kildare miles too far off the breaks
This could be as much as Kerry want. They wont hand out the hammering Dublin did, just not their nature, but they are barely in 2nd gear here.
