Castlebar should prob be closer for all the ball they’ve had, they’ve rushed the last pass a few times after great build-up play. Cross are a bit more incisive and have better movement up front although both fullback lines are under pressure. Very entertaining though.
Cross have blown two goal chances though and are much more tigerish and sticky at the back than Castlebar. McKeown and Hughes are right on their men everytime the balls goes in, Rushe is finding Kirby a handful though.
In contrast, Clarke has a couple of yards of Cunniffe when the ball is put in everytime.
Very enjoyable first half.
Crossmaglen’s accurate long balls are causing serious trouble and Clarke is looking very sharp.
Old man Hearty made that save from Douglas look easy when it was anything but. It was a rasper but he anticipated it very well.
Castlebar beginning to boss the play as the half has worn on. Patrick Durkan has been very good.
You feel Castlebar will need to have a greater share of the possession to win this as Crossmaglen look much more clinical. Still always the chance of goals with Castlebar however.
Who did Murtagh come in for by the way?
I haven’t noticed Carragher is some time, has he gone off?
What a quiet assured performance from Eddie Kinsella, you really appreciate how good he is when you see what went before him there.
Was there many yellows that half? Cross 7 anyway, trying to think did any of the fullback lines get any??
Castlebar 24 and 7 I think as well.
Durkan is a serious player.
Cross make less bad decisions. Often the difference in these games. Castle bar give passes alot when not on, Cross rarely do that.
However Castlebar are very dominant around the middle now.
Cross need McKenna on now.
Thats some start. Their deep running is causing Cross problens
Carragher went off after about 5 mins mate
Must have been a good halftime talk
He needs replays for these kind of things. Too busy on all the websites.
Black surely
That’s a certain black.
Black surely.
Stephan Keane is a serious player
Dreadful miss.
That’s a terrible decision, should be the other way round.
Barry Moran has been good tonight
