2015 Club Championships - the lads are STILL at it

Organisation can be shocking at times. Fixtures are a movable feast and the politicking that goes on would leave any Irish county board in the ha’penny place.

The craic is good though and there’s some very genuine guys involved.

From what I’m told the refs apply the rules

Great for the GAA that it’s the sport of choice for that type of person in Dublin now though, surely?

2008 when St. Vincent’s beat Crossmaglen in the final was in February.

Great thanks. Obviously it would be a limited tole living here but thats what i’d be worried about, making arrangements only for there to be alot of changes.

And so the GAA year of 2015 comes to an end. :disappointed_relieved:

When are the intermediate club semi-finals on? Mid-January I presume? Will one of these be live?

H’on Loughinisland.

Huh?

Fucked. Away.

I see Cahillane getting a lot of abuse here, not sure it’s all warranted even regardless of the horrific horrific missed free. Rogers on the other hand, the fucker shit the pants again, and not even the first time in Tullamore where Mickey Bourke made him his bitch a few years ago in a LSFC replay.

Bruno McCormack though, what a fucking wand of an left foot. And what a player.

He’s missed about four efforts from 20-30 yards out that any decent club forward would put over in his sleep under little to no pressure - two of them were frees.

He’s a bottler.

I thought Cahillane could have secured possession on numerous occasions but was shrugged off the ball fairly easily and shied away from it a bit too. He missed a bad free in the first half, a couple of pretty easy chances from play and then topped it off with the free at the end. It was quite the nightmare for him.

Thought he was fouled all day and got no hop from referee. Never stopped showing or demanding the ball. Rogers on the other hand was mopped on the 40 and hid in the corner then, necessitating the movement of Bruno from where he was most dangerous inside. For me he was the losing of that game. They could have done with bringing on Kevin Fitz instead of Ricky fucking Maher too. Fitz would have been ideal on the square in Bruno’s absence and Rogers game of hide and seek.

Cahillane went for a shot from play just before the missed free and the ball went backwards.

None of that showed on the TV coverage anyway so I’ll take your word for it.

Think Ballyboden’s second goal before half time was worked upfield from the keeper after Cahillane mishit an easy point chance from close range on his strong left foot into Durcan’s chest too. Open to correction though.

I’m not absolving Cahillane here, merely driving the boot into Rogers.

He was crap too in fairness. He had a really bad wide about 20 minutes into the second half. Did a lot of moaning to the referee also.

That’s all he ever does. Jesus but he’s a thundering cunt.
