In an ideal world I think KK wouldâve reverted to Fennelly & Fogarty at midfield against Tipp. With Fennelly now out and Fogarty filling in at CB the last day thereâs a big hole starting to form in the middle third for Kilkenny that I canât see Lester filling. He has loads of ability but not near enough aggression.
Maher now saying that Ryan is allowing Tipp to play with freedom, which seems to be a cut at OâShea. Never a good sign that.

Surely it will be Foagarty and Hogan starting at Midfield which will be more than a match for Tipp, Joyce back in at CB where he will either relish the physical game of Bonner Maher or play hide and seek with Noel McGrath for 70mins keeping him to at most 2pts from play.

Iâd say Joyce wouldâve been back in for the final even if Fennelly was fit. They needed a more mobile CB and midfield to curb Gleesonâs influence the 2nd day against Waterford, which nearly wasnât enough.
