2016 All Ireland Hurling & Camogie Finals

Well done to tipp

What a great weekand for the best game in the world. But hurling got a final we all expected and that is not good for the game

Back issues are his main problem. Isn’t he an S&C lecturer? I’d imagine he has a good handle on his own fitness.

You are correct Joe. However the two that are contesting the final only got there by a combined total of three points and could just as easily have gone the other way. Therefore I would contest that this was a great weekend for hurling and might be the spur to get the Limericks, Clare, Wexford etc. to get their shit together

Clare are way off the pace and with respect limerick and cork are too

Hard to see that as a reason though considering what happened in 2013.

But no one can take that. people say it was a soft one.

No such thing as soft AI’s, pal.

He is. Back issues and hamstring issues from memory.

I have no idea in this lads case and for what its worth he is good at what he does and everyone says he is a top lad. But you would be amazed at how much vanity trumps practicality in sports. Its insane.

Yes there is

your a clare man ??

Yes

In my experience the teams who win the Semi Finals make the Final. The best team in the Final wins the AI. Soft talk thereafter makes no difference to the winners, only the apes on the losing sides or teams knocked out earlier trot out such claims.

It’s hard to gauge allright. One could argue that 2013 was a freak year. The encouraging thing about this weekend is that the two teams that have dominated the latter stages of the competition probably for the last decade, could have been beaten.
Now both Waterford and Galway could flop next year and we’ll be right back to square one. We all know that regardless of who wins, you know Tipp and Kilkenny will hold ambitions for next year. Waterford in particular have made progress and their underage success is starting to pay dividends. They have competed against the best and nearly won.
Both Kilkenny and Tipp were gone by mid July in 2013 so the quality of the last four was at best questionable. This has since proved to be the case as all of the last four of 2013 have receeded considerably.
In a nutshell 2013 was a freak. Waterford and Galway went up against the best and proved they are right up there with them. Waterford in particular proved that the draw last week was no flash in the pan

It doesn’t make a difference to the winners, that doesn’t mean they aren’t soft though

The teams that believe hurlers win games are in the final . Two teams who also largely think that got very close .

The rest are obsessed with “systems” etc .

Incredibly ignorant of you to say so. Whether it was Cork playing out of their skins or KK underestimating them it still goes down as a Cork victory. The best team won through.

AI winners are THE WINNERS for a reason. Soft AI talk is spouted generally by losers or thick ignorant cunts.

Clearly waffle that reply unless you can back it up with examples without hearsay & whatiffery.

Clare 2013, Kilkenny 2007 and 2008 are two recent examples. Neither of them had to beat a good team to win their All Irelands

1989 Tipp bate the Mull of Kintyre .
