For the first time I’m beginning to believe Kilkenny are finally starting to go as a panel, looking down at the subs they have very little to bring in anymore the days of having a Henry or Richie Power or Tommy Walsh to come in and turn a game are gone, sure they have Larkin and Tyrell but both are pushing on especially the latter who should have called it quits at least a year ago.Maybe Ger Lough was half right at the start of the Summer but Kilkenny could very well win the AI again this year but the once indomitable warship they once were is starting to age and the cracks are getting bigger each year as the crews aging legs begin to wilt after each battle, once the great captain Cody steps down the sinking will be swift .

They still have TJ and Richie kid…two game-changers…especially TJ if he hurls near his potential on Saturday which he did’nt from play last Sunday…whereas can you really see P Mahony putting over those points from unreal angles again like he did in the first half on Sunday.I can’t personally. I’d love to see it again…but I truly can’t…

Cody will have learned from that…and will negate it imo.

His record in replays speaks for itself, even though they say Thurles might be worth a point of two to Waterford.

KK were below par last Sunday but still managed to get the definitive goal when it mattered… 2013 isn’t relevant really as a comparison imo…

Edit: 2013 was like a freak year in hurling…JBM nearly won ye an AI with the worst Cork team ever…to play in an AI final.

I can’t help but like that post …Ger’s a great man.
