Savage in the Vincent’s goal had a poor second half. Got caught in possession for a free which was scored and then messed up his kick-out off camera for a hop ball on the 21.
Slaughtneil’s tactics from about the 52 minute mark on were suicidal. Reminded me of how Armagh stupidly tried to kill off the semi-final replay against Kerry in 2000 by playing keep ball when they were four or five points up with about 15 minutes left.
Wasn’t there a Connacht final lost a few years back where Mayo (I think) started doing the same.
What is likely to happen if Slaughtneil were to beat Cuala in the hurling semi final?
