St Pats to beat Brigids at 11/10 is good value also.
Both teams are shit so not touching it. But Brigids are slightly less shit so if you insist on having a bet back them.
Hope no one followed me on this. Na fianna were well beaten, 10 in it in the end in a putrid game… Kilmacud beat Vincents by 4 or 5 I think in the end. Diarmuid Connolly came on and drove three wides in another shite game. Waterford have the game ruined with club teams aping their style. At one stage Lucan had 12 players behind the ball when they were 9 points up.
Fuck sake. Fellas who don’t understand club hurling blaming Waterford for everything.
It’s one thing aping Wateford style but it is dog shit when you try and ape their style without the players to do it and players don’t trust themselves to make a pass so just drive it long anyway.
Result from today’s glamour Donegal Division 1 clash:
Glenswilly 0-3 St Eunan’s 0-2.
Jim McGuinness will love that.
There must have been a strong Atlantic breeze today.
In Glenswilly? The pitch is well enough sheltered but it can get plagued with lots of torrential downpours.
Apparently there were 27 wides kicked.
Glenswilly’s normal tactics are even more negative than Donegal were last Sunday. Basically get everyone back in our own half, break like mental and hope Murphy can outscore the opposition.
They must have a savage defence.
Easy enough defend in club football when you bring everyone back and allow long distance shooting. The standard of long range shooting would not be up to much from Eunan’s without the intercounty chaps.
Glenswilly suffer in the Championship when they face teams like Glenties and Kilcar who can counter attack with speed.
Portlaoise march on ominously to the 10 in a row, after beating The Heath, who had run away with the Division 1 of the league over the past few weeks. Graigue beaten by Ballylinan with forum favourite Psycho leading the charge for Ballylinan. Danny Doogue, former underage star from the 96 All Ireland winning team and a few Leinster U21’s and beaten All Ireland U21 finalists, who hadn’t kicked football in 12 years or so, came on and scored 2 goals for Graigue, but it wasn’t enough to save the Carlow men. Cretty beat last years finalists by a point tonight, a bit of a shock, but Cha Dwyer would have been an addiition to the Evan O Carroll’less Crettyard Gaels. Josephs beat the shit out of Ballyfin Gaels, who no doubt now regret their bizarre decision to pull out of the county league this year.
Apart from yer man strapping the hurl to his hand in the Junior C the other night and scoring a further 1-3 to his previous 1-2, the other incident of note in Laois was Rathdowney advancing to the final of the Junior C Football where they will meet Errill. Both teams are the sole football sides in the Clubs, basically it was their way of keeping their own clubs alive when they amalgamated fully for the hurling about 10 years ago. Could be a bit of crack in that one.
Laois won the cricket 2 championship today bro
Durrow will be rocking tonight.
Best clontarfs 2nds

Few big games on in Tyrone this weekend.
Clonoe and Omagh clash on Sunday.
Errigal and Killyclogher play this evening.
Dromore are the raging hot favourites for the Championship. They have a nice mix of ex county players like Colm McCullagh, Sean O’Neill and Ricey as well as current county starters Ronan McNabb, Cathal McCarron and Niall Sludden. Good strong panel at their depth as well. I would expect them to have a real go at Ulster if they come through Tyrone.
Where did Colm McCullagh go? He had one great year and then seemed to disappear. I had completely forgotten about him
McCullagh was a latecomer to the Tyrone side, he played Irish League Soccer for Newry up until his mid 20s before packing it in to join the Tyrone panel. He had a few very good years but then retired due to not being able to give the full commitment.
Think he only had 5 years with Tyrone in total but has a couple of All Irelands and coupe of Ulsters to his name so he’ll have been happy enough.
