No need for that, mate.

I just canā€™t take any heed of any of his pronouncements on hurling anymore, heā€™s from Clare ffs, he hasnā€™t a breeze.

Itā€™s going to be one of the main pics the cork examiner are using tomorrow

As a forum we pride ourselves on higher levels of decorum than the Examiner thankfully.

Just me and the auld lad today. He got his own room friday so it was perfect. The muddar bought a tv friday.
I think he really enjoy neutrality. Delighted for Joe, sick for Brick.
Final whistle went. Chat became general. He said ā€œa nurse asked are you single? Are you?ā€
You cannot beat an Irish Father-Son relationship :joy::joy::joy:

We most likely crossed paths. Surrounded by Galway folk. All very convivial and good natured. Shook hands at the final whistle after which I left them to their celebrations.

Vindication for this group of Galway players on that front today. Galway were in poll position in the drawn final of 2012 and the 2015 final. Thatā€™s when a manager really earns his spurs in the dressing room at half time in an All Ireland Final.

Goodbye Derek so?

I just have this to say. When it looked like Waterfords day midway through the second half, I was so vexed that I hated the fuckers.
With hindsight, I would say that the ref swallowing the whistle suited Galway better, but they stood tall, and played well, with heart.
I feel for Waterford, despite the half hearted attempts of @Fagan_ODowd and his lick spittle @Bandage to cause angst beforehand. They have fine players, and bar a couple of inexplicable wides ,I think theyā€™d have won.
Anyhow, ''tis all water under the bridge.
Iā€™m full and Iā€™m tired.
Oiche Mhaith one and all.

After four years at the helm I think Waterford would
benefit from a new voice in 2018.

Must have been nice news to wake up to

By any chance did you speak to RTE on your way out of Croker?

Well played Galway. Deserving winners in a well contested final played in a very sporting spirit. It was definitely ā€œthe friendly finalā€ with a very good atmosphere with no rancour whatsoever.

Tremendous sing song outside the Palace bar there at the end with supporters from both counties and neutrals participating.

Galway have been coming for a good five years now and they really proved themselves in that second half when they looked up against it - thatā€™s what champions are made of.

That was a great match befitting the occasion. Congratulations to Galway and @KinvarasPassion @ironmoth @mikehunt @flattythehurdler @Ambrose_McNulty etc etc. Thought Horgan reffed it very well, neither team was into the dirt, just wanted to play hurling. Couldnā€™t believe it when Waterford went ahead in the second half, but on go the afterburners and Galway cruise away. There were some outrageous points from both sides yesterday.
Delighted for Galway and commiserations to Waterford. Would be sad to see Brick bow out like that, but he hasnā€™t left anything behind him.
Next years championship is going to be fucking brilliant. Iā€™m still a bit wound up about Sheedy and Shefflin fucking talking about Kilkenny at half time.
