I think they possess a genuine goal threat that no other team WD have faced have. Their ability to score points from distance will see Waterford have to move out from goal & pick up the space. This will give Galway the space needed for Cooney & Co to finally get goals.
Can the Waterford half forward line thrive like they did against Cork vs this GY line? I don’t think they will.
If Galway can curtail Austin Gleeson & Barron I think they will seriously negate Waterford.

I wonder do Waterford get fined every time they name a team not numbered from 1 to 15? An archaic rule, but a rule nonetheless.
I see that Kieran Bennett is named to start wearing number 18 as they’ve obviously “retired” the no.9 in honour of the brainless Conor Gleeson.
I still like them but it’s shit like this that makes other people not.

They seem to be operating on squad numbers for quite a while now. Aussie always wearing 6, Maurice wearing 21 etc. Seems odd, but sure whatever works

Surely 9 is Gleesons squad number? Waterford have been using them for all of DMcG’s reign.
