Tipp won that match by 20 odd points.
7 of that Waterford team will tog out tomorrow with DJ Foran on extended panel and Tom Devine sitting in the stand.
Minors can be unpredictable
That was a very good Tipp minor team.
They were also on home soil which would have been a help.
A lot of those Waterford players were very young though, most of the bigger names had at least another year left at the grade.
And it was a strong Tipp team too- John McGrath, Ronan Maher, Michael Breen along with Tossy Hammill, Stephen OāBrien, Stephen Cahill, Barry Heffernan, Bill Maher. Ended up winning the All-Ireland.
And you have to take into account how well a team is coached too, I donāt know who the Waterford manager was and how good they are/were but plenty of good groups of players have failed miserably because of being set up poorly.
