Great goal. Lovely soft hands for the offload by Cillian OāConnor and Diarmuid OāConnor broke the gain line on the wrap around before a blistering finish.
'Keeper could have done better there, it was straight down the middle. Made it easy diving to his left.
Mayo came out to win the game in the first 10 mins of the second half. Look to have done so at the moment.
Despite all that, Mayo are tackling with a serious physicality now, thatās what they are known for. Work rate is way up, tempo is up and Clare lost a couple of players at the start of the half and donāt have much depth.
Is Marty McMahon the smallest inter county defender to play championship? Canāt think off too many smaller/lighter defenders in recent times

Very soft free.
Carlow had a wing back playing against us who was around 5 foot 4 inches. He stole forward to get a cracking goal.

Clare have had two great chances for goals, one in each half. Donāt mean to come across like Ray Houghton, but if only the player in question had looked up and gave a little handpass to the side they would have had an open goal on each occasion.
COC stand out player of the year so far. If Mayo reach a final and he keeps the form he is a shoe in for POTY.
