2017 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Thatā€™s wholly irrelevant. Iā€™m very comfortable in my own skin.

I donā€™t think you have anything constructive to add on the subject so I used your dreadful fashion sense to insult you.

I stand over my comment. Sneaky lad got caught. Fuck him.

Maybe I give you too much respect, you dress like an idiot so whatā€™s to stop you having the opinions of an idiot?

Oh look who it is. Mr ā€˜I scored 1 point in a division 3 finalā€™.

1 from a free, the rest from play.

Ciaran Whelan agrees that the football championship is loaded against teams from Ulster.

While Dublin, Kerry and even Mayo can gear their preparations towards peaking in August, the championship is more perilous for teams contesting the Anglo-Celt Cup.

ā€œWe are going to get that imbalance up in Ulster the same as last year, where there were a couple of replays involving Donegal and Monaghan,ā€ the former Dubs midfielder told The Irish Daily Star. "They put a lot of work and intensity into those games and it is quite a significant imbalance. I think thatā€™s going to be there this year again.

"You have got Donegal and Tyrone on one side of the draw. Iā€™ve been quite impressed with Monaghan - they are on the other side of the draw.

"The Ulster championship still is one that sticks out as the most intense and most demanding for teams. It can be perceived as a disadvantage come August, particularly if you have a few replays and guys with a lot of minutes under their belts.

ā€œWhere Dublin and Kerry can kind of time their run a little bit better because itā€™s August that really matters.ā€

I still think heā€™s a wanker.

Just when I thought he couldnā€™t be an even bigger wanker.

Heā€™s an RTE mouthpiece and theyā€™re putting him out to bat for a tiered championship.

I donā€™t have much sympathy for the Ulster teams.

If their target is the All Ireland, get out of Ulster early doors and stroll through the qualifiers (if good enough).

So youā€™re advocating throwing games?

Unlike the other provinces the Ulster Championship carries much more esteem. Itā€™s a big deal to win one.

only if won by an Ulster county.

Otherwise it is an easy All Ireland.

Or performances in the final, no matter how good, dont count if there isnt a nordie team in it.

Maybe in places where the Provincial Championship holds little weight. Itā€™s not surprising that Down have come closer to winning an All Ireland in the past 20 years than they have to winning an Ulster.

Did they not play out a drawn Ulster final not so long ago?
