2017 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

The Super 8 is gonna be a clusterfuck.

So far they have beaten Leitrim and Galway.

And Galway and Mayo… Some dross over two weekends alright with teams too afraid of losing instead of going out to win.

Reduce the game to 13 players if they’re gonna continue on with this super 8 shite.

It’s irrelevant getting to quarter finals in the big scheme of things.

Armagh and Monaghan were slaughtered, Donegal annihilated by Galway the round before.

Armagh beating Kildare does not paper over the cracks.

Take out Tyrone and Ulster is poor.

Around the same standard of what Tyrone have played so. They also drew with last years All Ireland Finalists

You were very wrong about Rosscommon. You just cannot admit it.

It’s not irrelevant. Ulster is miles and miles ahead of Leinster.

It’s irrelevant mate. Look at yesterday.

Incorrect. Derry, Down, Donegal and Armagh are miles ahead of Leitrim.

It’s not.

Ulster is better than Leinster.

I sense you quaking in your boots.

Correct. Ulster is as poor as the rest of the country. The standard of the last 8 is really, really poor.

the GGA is in trouble if this Dublin team is one of the better teams, they are incredibly sloppy and wasteful.

I know the players are the ones that couldnt make it in a normal sport and it is so evident

Its shocking

Dublin’s most impressive year as far as this stage was 2014, yet they lost the semi-final by six points.

Mentality and belief will be a huge factor in this. The top Ulster teams at their peak, be it Tyrone, Down, Armagh, Donegal or Derry, have never respected the reputations of Dublin or Kerry.

Tyrone players have the big county mentality. They will believe they are better than Dublin.

Is this Tyrone team better or worse than the Donegal team that shocked Dublin in the semi final a few years back?

This Tyrone team just don’t concede goals. Their discipline is generally excellent, not giving away 0-08 or 0-09 a game through frees.

This, obviously, is a quality Dublin team but I’m not quite sure if they are as good as they have been. Mayo look a limited team now and 11 months ago Dublin only scraped past them by a point after a replay last year. The likes of Flynn and Brogan are slowing down a bit. Not sure if the likes of Lowndes and Rock are as reliable against the better sides.

What Dublin have is unbelievable athleticism. They are relentless. Their decision making and calmness under pressure is probably the best I’ve ever seen from any GAA team too. It helps that they’ve the biggest depth of any squad in the country. Bringing on lads who’d be starting for everyone else.

You rarely beat Tyrone in a battle, though. And they’ll make it an almighty battle.

Tyrone by two.

I’ll never be 100% convinced about Rock. He looks pretty decent at times, but to me he’s still a level below the other Dublin forwards from play. I always feel he’s never far away from having a bad game and if he has a bad game that generally affects his frees. Those bad games have tended to be against the big teams.

A reliable free taker is worth its weight in gold. Remember the years of Mossy Quinn and Lord help us, Wayne McCarthy.

Rock is a fine footballer but lacks real pace .

Sid is talking thru his hole just to bend an argument
