2017 GAA National Football League (AKA Kerry's stroll to yet more silverware)

Armagh 1-12
Antrim 0-13

A win next weekend against Tipp will see Armagh promoted.

A Tipp win tomorrow sees them promoted, a Louth win tomorrow will see them promoted.

She’s an awful dose, has pitched herself as a media celebrity since she retired from women’s hurling.

She’s everywhere - Today FM sports “reporter”, RTE radio one on Sunday afternoons during the championship season, guest appearances on the Late Late, a regular with Daithi and Maura, Celebrity Bainisteoir and now Eir sports.

A pure pain in the hole. Her club mate Thompson is as bad.

My guess is that Geary will go down the “I battled my own personal demons” road at some stage as a mini Bressie.

These Roscommon players aren’t very good. That’s just the reason for why they are failing to make any impact.

Don’t forget she is also on Irelands fittest family.

Odd game, job done.

Offaly next week in a relegation decider. We’ll most likely meet Offaly in a Hurling decider also shortly. These games will be the highlight of both our county’s year.

Game being shown on eir sports here now. 2 quick points, the ref is giving some ridiculous frees to laois. Yellow card for centre back for absolutely nothing. not sure how the remainder of the game will go, but he is horrendous on longford.

Secondly, they must love the new stand and press box in O Moore park. Any game they haven’t covered there yet?

Ref was chronic, on both sides. Number 19 for them gets away with 2 slaps iirc. But yea, he was shocking.

They showed all the footballers home games in hurling and football. Its not like the box is that impressive, its a fucking scaffold. I presume its quality of lights and ease of access. And maybe they were hoping for rows.

A new one on me here. Sideline ball, lad throws it away, so ref brings it 15m into the field of play. Must check that one out.

That one bet the shit out of me too. There was something else I found a bit strange, giving a free, then giving a yellow card to the fouled player for retaliation, but still allowing the free.

This happened in the Armagh and Donegal AI quarter final in 2014.

Armagh had a sideline ball in injury time and I think one of the Donegal subs (McBrearty?) ran over and booted the ball away. The ref then brought the ball 15 yards forward but Kernan missed and Armagh lost.

Into the field of play too? Would see them bring it up the line alright, don’t remember into field of play before

I think so but can’t recall with certainty.

McStay being found out for a bluffer by the looks. Kicked out Evans and now look relegated from where he got them!

There are highly unrealistic expectations when it comes to Roscommon, they are an extremely average set of players who have done nothing of note in the Championship for over a decade.

Think you have to go back 15 or 16 years since they beat Galway or Mayo in Connacht.

They had a lot of reasonable success at underage in the past 10 years or so but they haven’t really brought through any top class player in those sides.

The lack of pace and power in that side that played Dublin last night was startling, they don’t have one decent defender.

They’ll be relegated from Division 2 next year as well.
