Im going myself this year for the craic, 20 years since my first outing to ruislip when darcy scored 2-11 and London took us to extra time. Hopefully we wont have any such problems this year. What about W/meath sunday?
Fearful tbh. Heslin is likely to expose the frailties in the f/b line. Wayne Mac a possibility I’d be for putting Donal Wrynn at 3 for this meeting. Westmeath are a level above us (who isn’t).
Hopeful rather than confident.
Today’s Wexford People reveals Banty is hopeful that Ben Brosnan and Colm Kehoe will be fit for Sunday despite both going off injured in Leitrim. Wexford are awaiting the result of their appeal against James Stafford’s red card while Michael O’Regan is fully fit now. John Leacy remains absent with his ankle ligaments injury.
Has Davy’s great success heaped pressure on Banty to get promotion ??
One of the columnists is also refuting the allegation that he feeds the national media with stories, saying that people should look closer to home for the source of the story. Bizarre stuff.
Which one? That’s crazy.
It’s not like any of them have good connections and make lots of freelancing money providing the national papers with stories.
Mad, mad, mad.
Is someone is a bit of a self important cunt?
That’s a brilliant snapshot. It has everything
- Backing Diarmuid Devereux
- Spelling and grammar mistakes
- Clarification on communications before taking a swipe at the communications sub-committee
- A reminder why he’s so important
- A general air of smugness
He surely posts here, no?
I like the line “the current politics have no place in Wexford GAA”. Surely couldnt have had a straight face when writing that!
Before doling out in a clearly political swipe in the next line
oh the whole thing is political. Stating how great the previous chairman was in getting in Davy, how officials were accusing him of spreading rumours, and then as you say the item about the Communications committee then. The Communications Committee has barred him (and other journos) from the county board meetings. There was a series of sustained “columns” about the incumbent board committee in the run up to the elections by him slating them. I really dont know why, as the vote for the chairman role wasnt even close at all.
