2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

bar those first 5 or ten minutes though, Kerry ended up sorting that out for the most part. Granted, you cant let Dublin into an early lead, and Dublins tactics clearly has identified to score a goal as early as possible. Cork did look really shit after that though, so it looked more like a lapse in concentration/getting into the game rather than defensive frailties. Not to say they dont have any, but hard to judge anything meaningful from that game.

Winners of Roscommon v qualifier opponent

Cant believe they are going move the kildare/mayo game. Why are tyrone vs cavan in croke park. Surely there is another ground that can accommodate that game.

Perfect. Great to see Kildare are refusing to change venue. Statement for Kildare county board on its way

They will change venue.

They are playing hardball.

Ungrateful tramps. After Croke Park handing them the last round

Didn’t they help them out financially not too long ago also? I recall some financial issues there that Croke Park stepped in on

Don’t know? I’m not too bothered about logic and reason when it comes to Kildare. A quarter of a century ago one of the cowardly hoors finished gary coleman with as low a deed as was ever committed on a pitch. I’ve put the blink on them.

Sure they are.

Will Mayo get a walkover if Kildare refuse the change of venue?

Kildare are only looking for a sweetener :moneybag:

What happens if Kildare make the super 8’s?

It wasn’t unforeseeable that Kildare would have a tie like this.

If they were serious, they would have let it be known beforehand that they would be demanding home advantage.

The real shit show will come when Dublin are drawn to play a team away from home in the Super 8s and the “home” county’s ground is deemed unfit for the fixture.

It could even be Kildare, if they beat Mayo and then beat Cork. The back up “home venue” would be Croke Park, no doubt.

Why Croke Park though?

The least they could have done was consult Kildare on an alternate venue as they were the team who had been drawn with home advantage.

I imagine Sky Sports had something to do with it - they likely wanted two games at one venue.

It’ll be the same in Round 4.

Yes - but Round 4 has always been at a neutral venue. Round 3 has not.

Fuck Sky.
