2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

@Chucks_Nwoko and @Tank have hopefully gotten over the initial disappointment and are looking forward to the trip to Galway. At least there’s a 2 week gap to build up again.

Beggan and O’Connell were unreal and McManus was superb after a mixed display last week. I thought Monaghan definitely had it when O’Connell scored that cracking point late on after playing the ball to Manus who slid out to win it on the ground, wriggled back up and hand passed to O’Connell again. Some pace, drive and fitness in O’Connell to take the return pass before kicking it over.

Clifford’s finish was also incredible. He kind of had to stroke it with a bit of sharp curl to bend it into the far corner rather than drilling it to avoid the keeper and players on the line. The skill and composure to do that was also unreal.

It highlights the generally poor standard of finishing for goal chances. Most players just sort of pull the trigger in any way they can rather than pick their spot deliberately.

He had one spot that he could place the ball given the keeper and defenders. Serious composure.

Herself scared the little one in celebration…

Yet a 19 year old had the composure and skill to do it in the 73rd minute with the weight of his county being knocked out hanging off him as he shot.

He’s already the greatest player to ever play the game.

O’Connell is surely going to get an All-Star this year

His consolation goal v Galway is key now too.

He’s better than the Gooch was.

But yeah 2 last minute goals in successive matches that they didn’t deserve and they’re probably through.

They didnt deserve to score? Can you flesh that one out there please

Hi Gavin

Rochford staying on in Mayo, Donie Buckley not apparently

Buckley is off to Leitrim

That’s just stupid travel

Mbpape is 19 mate, what’s the big deal about this chump being good at fistball

Who?

Baps has been at a professional academy with top trainers, coaches, dieticians and s&c guys for years. Clifford has had to become a man over night and is the greatest fistyball player of all time already.
