Just saw that free-taking competition in the Walsh Cup there.
Jesus fucking Christ, some of there were awful. Was it nerves? Surely both sides have 5 players that take frees for their clubs/have taken frees in the past?

If you think hurling free taking competitions are bad just wait until you see Gaelic football players taking 45s in a shoot-out.
I believe these rules will be changed to conventional penalty competitions at the first available opportunity when the appalling standard of dead ball kicking and stickball free taking has got sufficient exposure and @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy has been taken to hospital after getting an uncontrollable dose of the hiccups laughing at it.

Definitely the tension of the occasion. Lee Chin and Lester Ryan sending little scuttlers bouncing in towards goal before John Walsh shat it with the last one and duffed his pick up.
