But instead of trying out something other than a sweeper this pre-season, Davy has instead kept the same system and just switched sweepers from Shaun Murphy to Kevin Foley.
It’ll possibly be alright in muck hurling but, come summertime, the sweeper will be positioned 25 yards out as the opposition drive points over from distance.
13 man Galway playing a team of kids scored 1-23 against us and we didn’t have a single goal opportunity. At least Liam Dunne tried different approaches. It’s gonna be a very short season.
I’m not so sure Mac. Davey normally had them flying at this stage and suffered later in the year. I think he has learned and is looking to be ready for when it counts. He has a few nice additions especially that young Casey. Yesterdays match was relatively meaningless and Wexford would also be mindful of the All Ireland champions up next week, a far more important game.
