Meath in 2012 came within a goal.
Westmeath’s 11 point defeat this year was the closest since 2017.

Leinster used to be my favourite of the football championships. Ulster was too grim, Munster was too predictable and Connacht was too wet. It’s ruined now.

Meath lost by 3 points to Dublin in 2012 Leinster final. Wexford lost the semi-final that year by 4 to Dublin. Jim Gavin came in then and Dublin started hammering everyone but I think they only beat Meath by 7 in 2013. I also seem to remember Laois only losing by 2 points to Dublin in a 2012 AI Quarter-Final.
It’s for the Leinster Championship. It’s gone and it’ll never come back.
