Best final I have seen.
Simply superb games from Wright, hit the scores & doubles. But I was far more impressed with his game face, totally composed no matter what MVG threw at him.
He got in MVG’s head and never blinked.
MVG losing with a 102 average and at times threw spectacular darts. He was beaten by a guy throwing to 100% of his potential.
Beat Pryce and MVG comfortably, some going.
Jeffry De Zwaan and Luke Humphries as well in closer matches but two tough opponents.
Poor tournament overall but great final. Great entertainment.
That was heart warming and that kind of underdog story is all too rare nowadays in sport.
