Serious buzz around Dublin last night/this morning, and I really enjoyed the build-up back at home despite the ticket furore.

It’s All-Ireland Sunday.

I felt Dublin was quiet last night - outside Palace bar had mediocore pre all ireland final buzz at best, Iwasnt elsewhere in city in fairness

2017 just ticked all the boxes of greatness.

I’d love it, love it, if Obscuresportswebsite.ie did a list ranking All-Ireland football finals in order of greatness.

They could even do the same for the hurling.

I’ll start it off for the hurling.

For an All-Ireland hurling final to be truly great, at minimum the participation of, and preferably the victory of Cork is required.

Cork bring colour. Just look at the colour in this photograph. It’s so colourful it doesn’t even need colour.

There was a terrible eerieness and loneliness around Dublin city last Saturday evening and night. It didn’t feel right at all.

I look forward to the next full fat All-Ireland final on the first Sunday of September 2024, and all the associated coughing and involuntary rubbing of sweaty bodies in pubs that it brings.

It’s time for the heart to overrule the head, they’ve it all to do, will need a nice f so live of luck and lots of goals but I’ve a feeling that Limerick may be feeling the pressure of expectation today and may start slowly, maybe even lack a bit of discipline at that stage, it’s up to Cork to take advantage in a way Waterford couldn’t,
If it’s still in the melting pot with 15 to go Cork may have the aces on the bench this time.

There’s no such thing as too hot for Limerick hurling. We perform best in the sweltering heat

A lot of ye’re best days in Munster have been on Sunny days (2013, 2019 and 2021 Munster Finals) but in terms of All-Ireland’s there was a hint of potential rainfall in the 2018 semi-final and finals I thought. Bit overcast but no rain may appear to be the ideal Limerick weather. The 2020 final was quite foggy but that was to be expected in the month of December.
