Well… I wonder.
Same time, I just want to make clear I wish absolutely no ill on anyone, online or otherwise. Quite the opposite. Not in itself, as basic decency. But also because any such animus, by my own logic, would rebound on me and mine. I simply think people who are flippant about enormously difficult – and sometimes torturous – matters should reflect on where their energies fly.
I remain boggled by how many people on this forum are avid for an announcement in the morning that lockdown is ended, that we should return to near normality (ungrounded mealy mouthed lip service about the vulnerable an optional extra), that we should let this virus do its thing. However you dice the topic, this scenario is their core position. What else does the vapid acronym ‘OIUTF’ mean? Simple people like simple scenarios.
And what, then, would ensue? And how would we deal with the chaos? The people who were totally wrong about Sweden would be unabashed about being wrong again. Ego means no buck will ever stop at their stop. What else, when you have a lad like Enny whose ‘political’ views are merely a personality prosthetic.
I suppose I at least learned, belatedly, the source of success for George Hook, Joe Duffy, Niall Boylan. Was previously baffled by the phenomenon. I now see you cannot go wrong, every sense, with twin ratification of stupidity and recreational complaint. A winning combination, so to speak.
But enough said. I am sick of the topic.
