Something I’m intrigued about is what happens if the following results occur in Group C:
Argentina 2-1 Poland
Mexico 3-0 Saudi Arabia
Poland and Mexico would both end up on 4 points with a goal difference of F3 A2, and they drew 0-0 when they played each other.
I believe it would then go to the fair play table. Mexico currently “lead” 6 yellow cards to Poland’s 4.

Justice was done when Ireland were drawn out of the bowl to play Romania in 1990 with the Dutch having to face the West Germans.

Senegal were knocked out by Japan on fair play rules the last time. Which seemed like a pity as Senegal had played much more attacking football than Japan in the group but the Japan vs Belgium game in the knockouts was probably up there with the most exciting.
It must be one of the most interesting final group round of any World Cup.
France & Brazil the only 2 teams qualified, Portugal could possibly join them. Qatar & Canada the only teams eliminated. Everyone else has something to play for
