2022 FIFA World Cup (Part 1)

Will be a cracker, Morocco will have a go with the likes of Ziyich which will suit Spain.

They do, Ceuta. Local derby

If that was the furthest point the ball rolled, itā€™s definitely in.

Poland > Germany

Two teams who will play ball. Should be a cracker.

Could see the Broz, Modric and Kovacic giving them fits in midfield.

Croatia gave a super mentality, bit light up top but very good everywhere else. Would suspect Japan heavily flattered by all this

Presumably just the photo angle but the end line doesnā€™t even look parallel with the bar there.

Thereā€™s no sympathy in this game for anybody

After the Spain shoot out in 2002 my friend put his fist through a window in the door of the pub. He then took off running cause the publican was a bit of a hot head. We had to track him down by following a trail of blood across a field. We brought him back to the pub, bandaged him up and drank on for the rest of the day.

We need more days like that.

I constantly feel sorry for poor aul @Perez2017

The Moroccans claim the city of Melilla too

The World cup can only go downhill from the group stages unfortunately.

Anyone who complains about international football can go and fuck after this week.

Better than ten premier league seasons

But, but, but we play nice football under Spock.

If the ball was six feet above the ground, peopleā€™s perception would be different of whatā€™s in or not.

Youā€™d draw a perfectly vertical line down from the equator of the ball to the line.

With the Japan goal tonight, the part of the football that touches the ground being over the line is irrelevant. Itā€™s whether the equator of the ball is over the line or not, not the south pole of it (though this is not a perfect analogy as the earthā€™s axis is tilted).

And they built Granada, Cordoba and Seville

I think with dross like Belgium and Germany out weā€™re going to see far better knock out round of 16 games.

Great to see the likes of Morocco, Japan, Australia making it to the last 16.

Gives ourselves a bit of hope maybe. If you qualify, anything can happen.

Ireland needed to be a bit more like your friend that day, they needed to go for the jugular.

For the Cameroon game we stayed in the pub all night. The publican left around 3, told us where the sausages were and said to leave a few quid by the till if he wasnā€™t back to watch the match.

99 - 04

We were a proper country then.
