2023/2024 Champions League Round of 16

Dortmund v arsenal would be a weak tie as in neither has a prayer of winning the thing

Barcelona have a much better team now than in 2011 so it’s swings and roundabouts quality wise.

Barcelona are relying on a few kids and 35 year old lewandoski.

Ah Jaysus- there not even the best team in their own country atm, let alone spain or Europe ffs

Arsenal are 2nd favourites with the bookies.

I see Jadon Sancho got the all important goal to secure advancement for Dortmund.

So was the yes vote

Often in the Round of 8/Round of 4 you get a lopsided draw with a bolter sneaking into the final.

If Abu Dhabi and Real Madrid are on the same side of the draw, a bolter will make the final and Arsenal have as good a chance as anybody.

Arsenal at Wembley in a one off game would be a difficult proposition for anybody.

Lads. I mean lads.

Nobody in the CL seems very good this year

Of the 17 players who were on the field tonight for Atleti, I think 4 played in the Premier League in a meaningful way. Most of them failed at poor dysfunctional clubs that have been terribly managed like Man Utd and Chelsea so it’s hardly a surprise

Who’d a thought Dortmund would be a much less racist atmosphere

It’s a desperate standard.

Celtic’s 7th choice winger is the best player in England these days.

They need to introduce a minimum number of home grown players rule

I think so. The FFP stuff isn’t working at all.

Home grown player rule would at least keep the reckless spending somewhat domestic. I believe the EU is a stumbling block though
