Atleti Woof were lucky to get away with a 2-1 win there, Dortmund were coming very strong late on and hit the frame of the goal twice.

Iād say it has more to do with the defensive deficiencies of the top teams tbh. A 3-3 is the same as a 0-0 without away goals which kind of takes the good out of it. Of course there are exceptions. The City v Real tie is all the better for no away goals rule. But similarly I donāt think Roma beat Barcelona in 2018 without the away goals rule. That away goal in the 4-1 gave them a glimmer of hope to build upon.
