Fair enough. Never met him. Phil Taylor is supposed to be a right prick too. There was a great match between the 2 in a quarter final where they almost came to blows. I would say 2013 iirc
Having met him as well I never thought him in the same league as the other fella.
Phill was always anxious about the crowd and people spitting on him and acting the maggot with him. Didn’t drink when I met him.

Watching back the 03 final of darts gold where Part broke Taylors streak, Christ but Part was a brilliant player he was cool as a breeze even when the inevitable Taylor onslaught came he just played his own game. He was dead right to call out Sky a few years back for not having his image on the wall next to other previous winners as a three time world champion.

Was at an exhibition a few years back and Taylor was sound. Met Mardle once and he was a dick. Kevin Painter surprisingly was the nicest I have met.
Fully agree on Painter. Really nice person. I too was surprised at how sound he was. I suppose it cause when you see him on TV he always played with that snarl on his face so I had it in my head he would be fairly sarky.
That was a very tame exit from Snakebite last night and a sad way for a great champion to bow out. I believe his wife hasn’t been well over the past few months, which would go a long way towards explaining how off the boil he was. There are things in life more important than sport.
