2024/2025 Premier League - The Drive for 5 (city losses in a row?)

They were done two months ago. This is long since over

Agreed

Liverpool had title won in November truth told, Arsenal holding on for second place now will be the goal taking injuries into account.

Your heart would go out to Lego Head. I see that 18 year old kid that was giving it big licks to Haaland the other week got himself sent off.

Big win today for Ange Ball

A learning experience

They’re well on track to match their own record of 1999-2001 of finishing runner up in three consecutive seasons.

Massive. Spurs have won 3 out of 3 league matches in February. Beat Citeh on Wednesday night and Big Ange is manager of the month. He hasn’t had one of those gongs since his 3 in a row in his first 3 months at the helm.

A point in the hand is worth two in the bush.

That’s a big let off for Liverpool now. Had Arsenal got it back to 5 and the pressure would have been on against city. A draw would do fine now

It’s a free hit

Arsenal still win but they are making it difficult for themselves

Arsenal’s slip up today is reminiscent of their woes on the run in 1989, notably a home defeat to Derby.

Liverpool have to go to Abu Dhabi tomorrow and then there’s a fiendishly tough home fixture against the Saudis on Wednesday.

The effective gap could be down to just two points by 10pm on Wednesday. It’s lucky for Liverpool that they’ve at least avoided a situation where Arsenal take the effective lead by Wednesday night.

Even if Liverpool were to take four points form those six, which any Liverpool supporter would be delighted with, it’s still an effective gap of just six points.

Should Abu Dhabi win tomorrow, their effective gap to Liverpool will be down to just 11 points.

With them out of Europe, they still have time to make a late charge and you wouldn’t bet against them winning all 13 remaining league fixtures.

Things get ever tighter at the top and the pressure on Liverpool grows and grows by the day.

Big assist there for Rashford

The title and relegation decided today. It will be a dull owl run in.

What do they be doing to lads at united

Hell have a little bounce and be shite again like Sancho. Even at his very best he’s a bit of a streaky headless player.

Have to be wary of counting your chickens too soon. Sure didn’t Man City come back from 8 points behind with 6 games left to beat Alex Fergusons Man Utd to the title in 2012.
