14/1 was the highest Smudger went.
For the match maybe but at 2-0 Dobey had about nine darts to just clinch that set with Smith way back so surely Smith would have been higher odds to win that set than to win the match?

Dobey could be done here. Another three missed doubles to hold throw at the start of set 5.
Smith misses six darts at double and throws away the leg.
More double trouble for Smith and that could cost him the match.
Bully boy will have to lift his game significantly or Dobey will be sending him home handily enough in the next round.

That’s a good start for him but he still has to overcome the major obstacle which has held his career back for the last 15 years - that of him being not very good at darts.
I would say more so that he’s too nice and laid back lacking the killer instinct.

Dolan has an incredible knack of hitting his first dart just below the 60 and leaving the 60 bed effectively blocked for his other two darts.
