The last time I did not attend a championship match Dublin lost Brian Keenan was still a hostage.

Outstanding effort by Meath. Must be some feeling for lads like Menton and Keoghan who had plenty of chance to walk away from intercounty football but soldiered on.
We have been told all winter that the new rules would mean more hammerings for the underdog, instead itâs helped take away the advantage of big spending counties on S&C. When last has a gifted small corner forward had an influence on a game like Conlon today?- a great, great day for football. The Dub fans not showing up to the game after listening for a decade about what wonderful supporters they are makes it even more enjoyable. The fans are like Niall Scully, need lads like McCarthy and Fenton on the field to look anyways passable.
