Au contraire, the two provincial semifinals outside of Croke Park is a magnificent idea. A double header last year drew 21k to HQ. Pitiful.
The venues will come from Portlaoise, Tullamore, Mullingar or Navan creating an opportunity for rustics to go to these games in comfort and find themselves in the midst of fervent supporters wedged in together.
Surely provincial towns are entitled to a small bite of the pie now and again.

Newbridge with their newly minted venue will be ahead of Mullingar and Tullamore surely when it comes to selecting the venue. The 2nd ticket scramble of the year, after Corrigan Park, is on the way.
I just had a look there at the draw.
Looks like the Leinster semi-finals will be Dublin v Offaly and Louth v Westmeath or Kildare.
Newbridge surely the shout for Dublin v Offaly and maybe OāToole Park for Westmeath or Kildare v Louth.

I beat Darren Carey (RIP) there to win the High Babies sprint at the school sports.
The Civil Service pitch at the entrance to Memorial Park could be a contender too. It has a lovely three feet high ābankā which would be enough for all spectators I think.
This brings to mind the album āThree Feet High And Risingā by De La Soul which brings to mind the Ballyfermot De La Salle pitch. Only a fool would rule that particular pitch out of hosting.this prestigious clash.

Poison Iveagh.
I used to always mistakenly call the Ivy House pub in Drumcondra āthe Iveagh Houseā any time Iād float the idea to somebody else of having a pint there before weād reject that idea and decide to go to a different pub. Even though āthe Ivy Houseā and āthe Iveagh Houseā are pronounced the exact same.
But it was still a mental mistake.

Will Jack Bryant, Cormac Egan, John Furlong, Keith Oā Neill and Lee Pearson announce themselves as worthy foes against Dublin in some boutique provincial venue? Youād love to see it. They looked the part yesterday but youād still have nagging doubts because of the 5 point defeat in Ennis and the *14 point mauling in Ruislip last year.

Dublin Offaly in Nowlan park. Be box office
They lost to Limerick too last year who were much more average then than last weekend. The young Offaly lads are a breath of fresh air but hard to see them putting it up to Dublin. I hope Iām wrong. Louth in a boutique venue would have a serious crack off them.
Canāt have Offaly playing at home.

Is there a GGAGOPLUS county āseason ticketā? I wouldnāt mind watching the first half of Wexford-Laois at 6pm before I head out.

Wexford v Laois isnāt being televised as far as I know. If it were an U20 match (they drew the other night) or St Peterās v Knockbeg in a schools match you could watch it at your ease.

Thanks pal. Itās almost as if I knew this already but wanted to highlight the absurdity of the situation. Now I did break my vow to never watch a GGA football match ever again last weekend (unless my children are playing, wanting to attend or if it was an All Ireland senior final) & Wexford were inept in that match. But all senior championship games should be available to watch online.
