2025 All Ireland Football Championship

Mike Finnerty if I’m not mistaken. Kernan is the typically excitable Crossmaglen pundit.

No Donegal forward scored from play in the 1st half, Murphy back on the scene and clogging up the whole thing again. Canavan giving another performance which suggests he is a handy club forward.

Paddy McBrearty - never really hit the heights having come on the scene so young.

Langan keeping Donegal in this. Their status as genuine contenders is looking shaky this evening.

He deserves that wide for the fisted point. A coward’s score.

Very enjoyable game tbf. Ebbed and flowed, Tyrone probably just about deserved it.

A fantastic shock. Thoroughly good fare.

Jimmy’s first ever championship defeat to a team from the UK.

Tyrone are back. They were always the big wild card coming into this championship.

We’re looking at Tyrone, Armagh and Down or Monaghan topping three of the groups.

All this chat from the coaching experts that teams wouldn’t bother going for goals with the 2 pointers now in place. Goals were the difference again in that game, and by my reckoning Round 1 of this phase last year had 12 goals, Round 1 this year had 24 goals.

Louth’s four goals against Monaghan in a six point thrashing reaffirms the point that goals aren’t worth very much in New Gaelic football.

Indeed…

Ulster rules

Shouldn’t it be “avail of” rather “avoid” the break ……

Peter Harte’s 2 pointer was godly. I had just said to the lad sitting next to me that 2 pointers would win it for Donegal. The new rules are great.

Cluxtons been an alright sort ever since he knocked the head clean off that English lad with a punch, one of the ones cosplaying as a Irish player for the Republic of (no such name exists) Ireland
