That was a great Mayo goal by Davitt Neary. A long time since I saw an assured finish for a goal like that from a Mayo forward.

At croker here. Certainly not a ’ completely different sport’ anyway. Very little difference really. Conservative approach by both teams. Not one two pointer attempted from play yet I think.
Kildare are the coming force in football, they have been producing footballers for a few years and it will stand to them now.
I think Brian Flanagan is the right man there. Less blasé than Davy Burke and less ignorant than Glenn Ryan. He has a stellar CV from his time in charge of the Kildare U20’s too. They might finally be about to fulfil their potential.

All of that, and the new rules suit them. The only problem is the Dubs walked through Derry tonight and have the potential to do that to any team in Leinster too, which would put a pin in the balloon.
I expected more tonight but I also suspect they pulled up shortly after half time

Never noticed it before but he screamed into armagh lads faces on 3 different occasions this half .
That last minute of football from Armagh was putrid stuff. Seven or eight lads playing pass the parcel around the two point arc and not one of them with a notion of shooting. Eventually an Armagh player ran down a blind alley and a Kerry defender jumped in and fould needlessly with one second left. Turbitt missed the resulting free anyway.
You know things are bad for Armagh when see Soupy before the half hour mark.
